Today is my last day doing the industrial training at the sony. Since i was here, i have learnt a lot of things about the testing and electrical. I also got some knowlegde about the basic of the TV.

I do a power consumption test. For this test, all of the parameters are set to the maximum. I need to record the value for the ON and STANDBY mode. For the ON mode, i need to take the value after 15 minutes and 5 minutes for the STANDBY mode.

I have done the leakage current measurement. For this test, we are refer to the main board as a main point. There are several types of main board. The main board will be represent the destination. Each board have different condition.

Today, the audit officer was came to visit our department. I also sent some equipments to calibrate. Ms. Aimi was explained to me little big about the clearance and creepage test and also the short test.

Today i have attend the sony meeting. During that time, i need to explain what i have learnt before. After that meeting, i learn about how to do the power consumption measurement. For this test, everything i need to set to the maximum condition.

Today, i do some of the soldering works. I also learn about surge test measurement. For this test, i need to perform withstanding/insulation test before and after doing the surge test.

I learn how to do the screw test, bump test and also impact test for the new model of TV set. I also do the humidity test. For the humudity test, it will take 5 days to complete.

I do the heating test. I learn about how to measure the small current by using the current amplifier, current probe and oscilloscope. By using current amplifier, the value that i get i need to devide by 20 because the current amplifier is set to 20.

Today is not very busy. I just study the theory of wall mount test. My HOD, Chiou Ling ask me to go to Jalan Pasar to buy some electronic equipments.

Today i have learn about the screw test. I use the electric screw driver with torque. I need to calibrated first that torque depend on screw size. For the metal screw, the screw are loosen and tighten for 5 times each. For the plastic screw, the screw are loosen and tighten 10 times each.

Today i just set up the equipment to do the heating test. For this test, there are devided into 2 parts. For the first 4 hours, i need to set the power supply to 264v/50Hz. For the next 4 hours, i have set the power supply to 99v/60Hz.

I learn about bump test and also impact test. For the bump test, i need to perform W/I test before and after that test. For the impact test, i used the impact ball and impact hammer to test the tv.

Today is not very busy. I just recap what i have learn before. I read the manual lab to get more information and understanding.

I have learn about how to do the withstanding and insulation test. For this test, i want to know how strong the tv that can maintain from the outside voltage. For the withstanding test, it is more to protect the tv. For the insulation test, it is more to protect the user.

I was learn about withdrawal of main plug measurement. I need to test the tv in 3 stages which is ON, OFF and STANDBY mode. For this test, i have set the power supply to 264v/60Hz.
The main purpose for this test is we want to know how many current left inside the board ( switch ) when the user pull out the plug.

I do the soldering works for the complicated circuit. En Fattah was explained to me about the safety way to do the soldering work. I used mask and solder fan during the soldering work.
I also study and practice about the leakage current measurement. For this test, i need to take the value from oscilloscope during TV in ON, STANDBY and OFF condition. The purpose is to check either the leakage current is in save condition or not.

Today i have the induction. They are brief me about the sony background. After finish the induction, i go back to my department and start to work. I was assign under the En. Fattah. He is my supervisor. He was brief me about the main work for my department.

registration slot. i have submit the pasport picture, bank slip and 3 copy of i/c to the HR.
At the afternoon, the HR make a ID for me. I have given the shoes and vest. They also brief to me about how to use the clock ( for attandance ) and pesona system ( for apply leave and others ). They also bring me to take a look to my department.
